(Baltimore, MD) -- Today, Baltimore Police plan to release video from the body camera involved in last week's shooting of a 17-year-old.
Police say 17-year-old Mekhi Franklin was shot while running from officers in the Shipley Hill neighborhood in West Baltimore on May 11th.
He was believed to have been concealing a firearm and he was told to drop the gun during the chase.
Franklin remains hospitalized.
His condition has been upgraded from critical to stable. The officer involved is Detective Cedric Elleby, who has been a member of the city police force for four years.
