(WEAA)—Cookies Baltimore, a cannabis dispensary announced it will reopen its doors in Federal Hill this week.

Beginning Saturday, July 1st, adults 21 years or older can legally purchase recreational marijuana in Maryland without a medical card. Voters approved a referendum to legalize it in November.

The dispensary, located at 35 E Cross Street, temporarily closed early June to improve its surveillance system and work with security and marketing partners to ensure compliance with the Maryland Cannabis Administration.

“We want to express our gratitude to all our patrons for their patience and support during the facility improvement process that took place during June. We’re eagerly looking forward to seeing you soon,” said Tommy Nafso, CEO and founder of Noxx.

Maryland’s law still prohibits the public consumption of cannabis.
