(Baltimore, MD) -- Baltimore Gas and Electric is being ordered to pause the installation of external gas regulators on customers' homes while a dispute over the equipment plays out in court.
A judge granted a 10-day temporary restraining order, also directing BGE to restore gas service in areas where it was cut off.
A group of residents filed a lawsuit claiming the utility is forcing the gas regulators on them.
Last week, some residents were arrested during a protest for preventing BGE from installing the devices.
The next hearing in the case is set for July 10th.
