(Baltimore, MD) -- The Baltimore City Council will hold a hearing tonight on the dispute between BGE and customers over the utility's installation of gas regulators outside people's homes.
A group of residents has filed a class action lawsuit claiming BGE is forcing the devices on them.
Last month, some Federal Hill residents were arrested for preventing BGE crews from installing the equipment.
The company says the regulators are necessary to improve safety, but residents dispute those claims.
Last week, a judge extended a temporary restraining order on the installation of the regulators for 60 days.
