(Washington, DC) -- U.S. Senator Ben Cardin is urging Marylanders to participate in their neighborhood "National Night Out" events tonight.
Cardin says it's an invaluable way for community members to create meaningful connections with law enforcement in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The Senator says building trust and positive relationships can bridge the gap between first responders and the public.
Maryland State Police will also be participating in events throughout the state.
At least 160 cities and towns in Maryland will be hosting "National Night Out" events.
...and Southern MD! All 23 @MDSP barracks will be participating in National Night Out tomorrow (8/1). Come out and meet your local State Troopers! ⬇️
