Baltimore Police: Multiple people shot at Morgan State University

Baltimore Police

BALTIMORE (WEAA)— Baltimore Police say at least four people have been injured in a shooting at Morgan State University.

Just before 10 p.m., police and ATF Special Agents responded to the campus in the area of Argonne Drive.

Initially, police said they were “on scene of an active shooter situation” and asked everyone to shelter in place and avoid the area.

Around midnight, Mayor Brandon Scott confirmed the incident is “no longer considered an active shooter situation, but is an ongoing investigation”.

The incident happened amid a week of homecoming activities.

The annual coronation of Mister & Miss Morgan State was scheduled for Tuesday evening at the Murphy Fine Arts Center, one of the areas the school urged people to avoid after the shooting.

Police encouraged parents to report to the Safeway parking lot at 4401 Harford Road to receive information from an officer.

This is a developing story and will be updated as information becomes available.
