(Baltimore, MD) -- Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott joined 150 other people in taking a plunge into the Inner Harbor Sunday.
The Waterfront Partnership launched the Healthy Harbor Initiative in 2010 with a goal to create a swimmable and fishable harbor.
The nonprofit announced last month that significant progress has been made in improving water quality in the harbor.
Those taking part in the splash jumped into the water from a floating dock at the Bond Street Wharf in Fells Point.
#harborsplash What a morning! Years of investment and hard work allowed for this jump - and more work to do to ensure everyone can benefit from and enjoy our Baltimore Harbor. Onwards! pic.twitter.com/B5fyqQi7JN
