(Baltimore, MD) -- Two members of the Baltimore City Board of School Commissioners have resigned.
Board Chair Ronald McFadden and Vice Chair Shantell Roberts are stepping down from their roles.
The board has now appointed Robert Salley as Chair and Ashiah Parker as Vice Chair for the rest of the school year.
McFadden and Roberts did not explain their reasons for resigning, but they both voted against extending the contract of City Schools CEO Dr. Sonja Santelises in October.
