(Baltimore County, MD) -- A Baltimore man has been sentenced for raping a transgender woman and filming the assault.
Twenty-three-year-old Jalen Green pleaded guilty in Baltimore County to first-degree rape and use of a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence for the February attack.
On Wednesday, a judge sentenced Green to life in prison with all but ten years suspended.
According to the Baltimore Banner the judge described the crime as an "absolutely brutal offense" but considered that Green had no criminal record and experienced past trauma that influenced what happened.
Prosecutors were seeking a sentence of 30 years.
