The event will be accompanied by what officials describe as a large investment in the surrounding Park Heights neighborhood.

Maryland First Lady Dawn Moore says she was inspired to create the festival when she visited the Kentucky Derby, which has its own festival the week leading up to the Derby.
Governor Wes Moore says there will be an investment by Maryland's Department of Housing and Community Development for workforce development in Park Heights.
