x.com/NWS_BaltWash

(Sterling, VA) -- Light snow is in the forecast for the Baltimore area on Friday.

A clipper system in the Great Lakes region is expected to move east and drop one to two inches of snow across Central Maryland.

A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Winter weather advisories are also up in extreme western Allegany County and on Maryland's upper Eastern Shore.

Meanwhile, six to ten inches of snow is expected in Garrett County -- in far Western Maryland -- where a Winter Storm Warning will be in effect from Friday morning until Saturday morning.
