The below freezing temperatures and wind chills can pose a significant health risk to city residents including cold-related injuries, frostbite, hypothermia and in extreme cases, the potential for fatalities.
During a Code Blue alert, City agencies activate services that provide shelter and assistance for those in need, including those who are homeless.
