(Severn, MD) — A 14-year-old and an 18-year-old are in custody following a stabbing Thursday morning at Meade High School in Severn, Maryland.
According to officials, the incident occurred around 10 a.m. on January 23, 2025.
An Anne Arundel County Police School Resource Officer (SRO) responded to a second-floor bathroom where the 17-year-old victim was found suffering from multiple stab wounds. The officer immediately called for medical assistance and began administering first aid.
The student, who was conscious and alert, was taken to Shock Trauma. He is currently in serious but stable condition.
After interviewing witnesses, police identified two suspects, both students at Meade High School.
The 14-year-old boy is charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and additional school-related offenses.
JaQuan Ky’lee Guy, 18, of Fort Meade, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and other related school charges.
