(Manchester, VT) -- There is no word on the identities of the three people injured after a small plane that took off from Martin State Airport in Maryland crashed in Vermont on Wednesday.

The plane took off from Middle River and crashed into Mount Equinox at an elevation of nearly 3,200 feet.

The plane went down at around 8:30 a.m. and emergency responders reached the scene shortly after 10:00 a.m., after dealing with dense fog and snow that was up to four-feet deep at the crash site.

The pilot and two passengers on the plane suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration are expected to arrive at the scene Friday to begin their investigations.
