ARBUTUS, Md. – Maryland State Police are investigating a deadly crash involving three vehicles.
The collision occurred around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday on I-95 near I-695 in Baltimore County.
According to a preliminary investigation, a Jeep Cherokee traveling southbound struck the rear of a dump truck for unknown reasons, causing the Jeep to become disabled in a travel lane. Police believe the driver exited the Jeep and was then struck by a Subaru, which also collided with the dump truck.
The driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three others were injured in the crash: the 50-year-old male driver and 51-year-old male passenger of the dump truck, and the 24-year-old female driver of the Subaru. All were transported by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment.
All lanes on I-95 have since reopened.
