(Baltimore, MD) -- The Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office is investigating an apparent cybersecurity incident on its network.
Communications Director James Bentley says in a statement that the office was notified about unusual activity on March 19.
Management Information Systems responded immediately to secure the network and activate the cyber incident response plan.
State's Attorney Ivan Bates charged members of the Executive Team to engage with outside partners to assist in protection against the detected activity.
Bentley says the office continues to enhance its cybersecurity and coordinate with law enforcement.
The investigation is ongoing. Baltimore City Public Schools said Tuesday that it is also dealing with a cybersecurity incident after some IT systems were breached on February 13th.
