(Baltimore, MD) -- Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott held a budget town hall for city residents at Coppin State University Tuesday evening.

The mayor spoke with residents about his proposed budget of $4.6 billion for fiscal 2026, addresses an $85 million shortfall without income or property tax increases or service cuts.

The projected operating budget is around $3.6 billion, and the capital budget is a projected $1 billion with more than $26 million in new revenue from updated fee structures.

During the town hall, the mayor said for every dollar in revenue, his office identified two dollars in savings and cuts in city government.
