Baltimore County to activate six new speed cameras in school zones next week

(Baltimore County, MD) -- Baltimore County Police will be activating six new speed cameras in school zones next week.

Beginning on Monday, May 19th there will be cameras at the Kreiger Schechter Day School on Stevenson Road, Pleasant Plains Elementary School on Pleasant Plains Road, Saint Paul's Lutheran School on Jerusalem Road and Rossville Elementary School on Rossville Boulevard.

For the first 30 days, drivers going 12-miles-an-hour or more over the speed limit will receive warnings but after the grace period, citations will be issued.

The speed cameras will be in operation from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Friday - even during the summer and on weekdays when school is not in session.
