(Baltimore, MD) -- A 70-year-old woman is dead following a police-involved shooting in Baltimore City.
Police Commissioner Richard Worley says officers responded to a home in the 2700 block of Mosher Street Wednesday afternoon for a woman having a behavioral health crisis.
Worley says the woman pulled a knife on officers who tried to tase her, but it was not effective.
He says one officer fell and when the woman moved toward him another officer fired two shots at her.
The woman was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The Independent Investigations Division of the Maryland Attorney General's Office is investigating.
