(Baltimore, MD) -- Baltimore City has declared a Code Red Extreme Heat Alert for today.
The Health Department says the heat index is expected to reach 105-degrees and the high temperatures and humidity levels pose a serious risk, especially for vulnerable adults, children and those working outdoors.
Cooling centers will be activated throughout the city and residents are encouraged to take precautions during the excessive heat.
There have been two heat-related deaths in Baltimore during the 2025 Code Red Extreme Heat season.
