(Baltimore, MD) -- Mayor Brandon Scott has released a draft of the Downtown RISE Master Plan.
The mayor says the plan outlines how the city will build a more vibrant, walkable, and welcoming downtown and he's asking residents for their opinion.
“We’re committed to building a Baltimore where everybody can thrive. That means investing in Downtown: the heart of our city, where so many residents gather, dine, work, and play,” said Scott. “Whether it’s supporting small businesses, investing in green spaces, improving transportation options, bringing in exciting events and festivals, or any other big ideas, we want to hear from Baltimoreans about their vision for Downtown. This plan is a blueprint for the future—one we’re building together.”
There will be a community engagement session tonight from 5 p.m. until 7:30 at the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore and those planning to attend can register at Eventbrite.
On Thursday, August 28th the Planning Commission will give an informational presentation and on October 9th there will be an adoption vote and public testimony.
