(Timonium, MD) -- The Maryland State Fair gets underway today.
The fair takes place over the next three weekends at the Timonium Fairgrounds.
The gates and the carnival midway both open at 5:00 this evening with food, rides, concerts and animal exhibits and competitions.
There is an unaccompanied minor policy in place and guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or chaperone who is 21 or older.
The policy does not apply to group outings or those participating in 4-H or FFA competitions where existing chaperones are in place.
Anyone under the age of 18 who is found unaccompanied inside the Fairgrounds will be removed without a refund.
