(Baltimore, MD) -- A Baltimore Police officer has been suspended after a viral video appeared to show him driving his vehicle toward a civilian.
Police say they are reviewing body camera footage and have opened an internal investigation.
Commissioner Richard Worley called the video "disturbing and alarming," saying the behavior does not reflect the department's values.
Mayor Brandon Scott and State's Attorney Ivan Bates both said the incident is under active investigation, with Bates confirming his office's integrity unit has launched its own probe.
The officer will not be used as a witness in any ongoing cases until the investigation concludes.
