Veterans Day events will be taking place in Maryland today.
In Annapolis, a ceremony presented by the Fleet Reserve Association will be held at Memorial Circle beginning at 11 a.m.
In Baltimore County, ceremonies will be held today at the Dundalk American Legion Post 38 and at Essex American Legion Post 148 beginning at 11 a.m.
There will also be Veterans Day ceremonies at VFW posts across the state.
Many businesses will be offering specials and discounts for veterans, and the Maryland Transit Administration is offering free bus, light rail, metro subway, MARC train, and mobility service rides for veterans and active-duty service members.
