Two hospitalized after ice slams into their windshield

Susquehanna Hose Company

(Havre de Grace, MD) -- Two people are hospitalized after large pieces of ice flew off a vehicle and crashed through their windshield.

The Susquehanna Hose Company says the accident happened in northbound I-95 at the Tydings Bridge and the victims were taken to the Christiana Trauma Center in Delaware.

There's no word on the victims' conditions. Meanwhile, lawmakers in Annapolis are considering a measure that would require all snow and ice to be removed from a vehicle before it's driven or towed to prevent accidents.

House Bill 474 is also known as the "Clear Before You Drive" Act.
