(Baltimore, MD) -- Baltimore City has started to issue citations to residents who have not cleared the snow from their sidewalks.
The city says homeowners and businesses are responsible for clearing the walkways and make a path at least two-feet wide and the snow should not be dumped into bike lanes.
The fines for not clearing the snow are $50 for homeowners and $100 for businesses.
Residents who called 311 to request help with snow removal but receive a citation should call the Environmental Control Board to have the fine waived.
