(Baltimore, MD) -- Maryland's Secretary of Health is sending condolences to the family and loved ones of a man who suffered a heat-related death in Calvert County.
Dr. Meena Seshamani says with more hot days on the way this year, Marylanders are reminded that there are steps they can take to guard against overheating, including visiting a local cooling center.
As temperatures start to rise, residents should also remember to check on those who are vulnerable to heat, including older individuals and those with chronic diseases.
