(Baltimore, MD) -- A 64-year-old man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for a 2024 murder at the Johnson Square Apartments.
Tyrone Epps pleaded guilty in March to killing Paul Lee after a long-running feud.
Officials say "high-definition audio and video surveillance" of the apartment lobby showed Epps approach Lee and attempt to engage in a verbal argument. According to detectives, Lee did not appear to engage back.
Epps then shot at Lee three times, striking him twice before fleeing the scene.
“The sentence imposed today ensures that Mr. Epps will likely spend the rest of his life incarcerated for the execution-style murder of Paul Lee,” said State’s Attorney Ivan J. Bates.
Bates says while no sentence can restore what was taken from Mr. Lee's family and loved ones, he hopes the outcome provides a measure of justice and closure.
