(Baltimore, MD) -- Baltimore and the metro area could see severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.
Storms are expected to develop between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. with a risk of heavy downpours, lightning and wind gusts of 40 to 60 miles per hour.
The high winds could down trees or power lines as the storms move through the region.
BGE says the public should stay away from any downed wires and call 877-778-2222 to report the location.
