(Baltimore, MD) -- The Maryland Department of Health says there have been 110 confirmed cases of cyclosporiasis in the state this year.
106 of the cases were reported between May 1st and July 21st.
Officials say that 27 of the cases were acquired domestically, 47 were acquired internationally and 36 cases remain under investigation.
Last year, there were 128 confirmed cases.
The recent, nationwide outbreak was first reported in May and has spread to at least 34 states.
