(Baltimore, MD) -- Severe storms left a trail of damage across Central Maryland on Monday.
They brought heavy rain, high winds and tornado warnings for Baltimore City and Baltimore Anne Arundel and Howard counties.
The storms uprooted and downed trees and power lines throughout the area during the afternoon commute.
Thousands of BGE customers were left without power and the utility is continuing restoration efforts.
In Cecil County, a house was struck by lightning and, in Columbia, a tree crashed onto a home.
There was a temporary ground stop at BWI and, in Baltimore, the doors opened early for fans waiting to see the K-pop group BTS at M&T Bank Stadium.
