(Howard County, MD) -- International authorities have notified Howard County Police that murder suspect Arjun Sharma has been taken into custody in India.
The 26-year-old is wanted on a warrant for the murder of his ex-girlfriend on New Year's Eve, 2025.
Sharma reported Nikitha Godishala missing on January 2nd, then left the country to fly to India.
Police later searched Sharma's apartment on Twin Rivers Road and discovered Godishala's body with multiple stab wounds. Extradition is expected, but there is no timeline for Sharma's return to the U.S.
