(Baltimore, MD) -- The Independent Investigations Division of the Maryland Attorney General's Office is reviewing Thursday morning's police-involved shooting in Baltimore County.
Police responded to a report of an assault in Middle River and found the alleged suspect sitting in a vehicle on Carroll Island Road.
Police say the woman had a knife, which she surrendered, but she allegedly pulled out a gun and an officer shot her.
The woman was taken to a hospital with injuries that are potentially life-threatening.
The officer involved in the shooting is on administrative leave.
