BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — According to data, coronavirus cases are rising again in Maryland.
As of Monday morning, Maryland Department of Health officials report an increase of 1,031 positive coronavirus cases since Sunday.
This is the sixth consecutive day health officials have reported more than 1,000 new coronavirus cases.

The statewide positivity rate is now 4.99%.

Data shows, 69 more patients have been hospitalized due to the virus and nine more deaths have been reported.
Currently, Maryland is in Phase 2A of its vaccination distribution plan. Phase 2B of the plan starts Tuesday, March 30.
Recently, the state of Maryland eased many COVID-19 restrictions and capacity limits.
Maryland providers have administered 2,564,507 COVID-19 vaccines, and 37.9% of our age 18+ population has received a vaccine.
