BALTIMORE, MD(WEAA) —Maryland continues to hit major milestones as the state recovers from the coronavirus pandemic.
According to the Maryland Department of Health, the state’s COVID-19 positivity rate has dropped to 0.57%, a record low.
The case rate has also dropped to 0.9 per 100K.
According to data released by health officials, Maryland has surpassed 6.7 million vaccinations and 73.5% of adults have been vaccinated.

As of Friday morning, 64 new coronavirus cases have been added within 24 hours. One new virus-related death has been reported.

Currently, 115 patients are hospitalized due to complications from COVID-19. Health officials say 39 of those patients are in intensive care.
