Legionella found in Baltimore County hospital

(Catonsville, MD) -- State health officials have confirmed levels of legionella bacteria have been found at a Baltimore County hospital.

The bacteria -- which can cause Legionnaire's Disease -- were found at a Catonsville psychiatric hospital.

Officials say no cases of the disease have been found among Spring Grove's patient population.

The hospital has enacted precautions as a result of the test results and some of the hospital's showers are shut down while they're treated for the bacteria.
