(Baltimore County, MD) -- All branches of the Baltimore County Public Library are now distributing naloxone to help prevent opioid overdoses.
The effort is part of a partnership with the county's Department of Health and Human Services and provides receptacles where residents can access the medication, commonly known as Narcan.
Officials say the move comes as overdose-related deaths in the county have declined each year since 2020, including a nearly 25 percent drop in 2024.
