(Baltimore, MD) -- The Maryland Public Service Commission says BGE cannot cut of service to any customers until at least April 1st.
The PSC's order comes after an investigation that found systemic failings in BGE's customer call center, including unreasonably long wait times.
Under the law, a utility must investigate customer disputes or inquiries, but the PSC says BGE can't fulfill its legal obligation if customers can't reach a call center representative.
Beginning April 1, BGE will be able to file a petition requesting that the moratorium be lifted.
