Democratic Governor Wes Moore to face Republican challenger Dan Cox in November Election

(Annapolis, MD) -- Winners are being declared following Maryland's primary election.

The primary votes will be certified on July 6th, after all mail-in and provisional ballots have been counted. In the Governor's race, the unofficial results show that incumbent Democrat Wes Moore will again face Republican Dan Cox in the general election.

In 2022, Cox lost to Moore. Cox was running in a field that included Democrat-turned-Republican Ed Hale.

In the Attorney General's race, Democrat incumbent Anthony Brown and Republican James Rutledge were unopposed as were Comptroller Brooke Lierman and Republican opponent Sonya Dunn.
