BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — Fannie Lou Hamer, born in 1917, is a civil rights icon who passionately fought for Black voting rights. 

 

Hamer’s Godson John Milton Wesley, a published author and Public Information Officer for the Baltimore City Office of Equity and Civil Rights joins Dr. Kaye to share stories of Fannie and reflect on her contributions to American history.  

 

Dr. Kate Clifford Larson, a New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestselling author also joins Dr. Kaye to discuss her latest biography, Walk With Me, which explores the life and legacy of the voting rights leader.
