COVID-19 in Maryland: Hospitalizations decline, positivity rate at 3.24%

BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — Maryland is seeing a decrease in COVID-related hospitalizations.
 
Currently, 856 patients are hospitalized due to the virus. 

 

The state’s positivity rate is also declining. Health officials report Maryland’s positivity rate is now 3.24%. 
 

 
As of Thursday morning, 809 new positive coronavirus cases have been added. 

 

Three more people have died from the virus. 

 

Governor Larry Hogan issued a proclamation recognizing March 5 as a Day of Remembrance to honor Marylanders who have lost their lives due to COVID-19.
