Gov. Hogan announces drive-thru, no appointment vaccinations at multiple sites

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WEAA) —Maryland now has three drive-thru vaccination sites that don't require appointments. 

 

Gov. Larry Hogan made the announcement on Tuesday.

 

Residents are able to drive up to the vaccination sites at Six Flags in Prince George's County, Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf, Maryland and Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen without an appointment. 

 

“Expanding no-appointment vaccinations is another way we are working to make it as easy as possible for people to get vaccinated,” said Governor Hogan. “Our goal throughout this massive effort remains the same—to provide a vaccine to every single Marylander who wants one.”

 

Maryland is also offering no appointment vaccinations at nine mass vaccination sites:

According to data, health officials have now administered more than 4.43 million vaccines. Records show, 58.9% of Marylanders 18 and older have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, including 83.5% of Marylanders 65 and older.
