BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) —Maryland health officials say 276 new cases of the coronavirus have been reported since Sunday morning.
According to records, this is the lowest number of newly confirmed cases since July 6, 2020.
Maryland’s key health metrics continue to improve across the board, as today the state is reporting the lowest number of new COVID-19 cases since July 6.

State health officials say virus-related hospitalizations have dropped under 800 for the first time since March 15.
Governor Larry Hogan says hospitalizations are down 59.1% from their winter peak.
Maryland is reporting more than 5.25 million COVID-19 vaccinations, and 64.5% of Maryland adults have received at least one dose.

Maryland’s positivity rate has dropped to 3.06%, the lowest level since October 23.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 64.5% of adults in Maryland have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
