The Maryland Court of Special Appeals reinstated the multi-million dollar award to family of Korryn Gaines, who was shot and killed Baltimore County Police.
Gaines, 23, was shot during a 2016 police standoff in her Randallstown home. Her five-year-old son Kodi was injured. The family was awarded the money in 2018 but the decision was reversed in 2019 by a Baltimore County judge who cited qualified immunity for the officer. J. Wyndal Gordon, attorney for the Gaines' family talked with WEAA's Julius White about the reinstatement of the award.
