BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) — Chris Clanton, an actor known for his role in the television series, “The Wire”, became a victim of Baltimore’s gun violence last week.
The 35-year-old was shot in the ear just before 7 p.m. on Eierman Avenue near Cottman Avenue.
“Somebody could’ve killed me in front of my son…”
Chris posted to his Facebook page the day after the shooting:
“30mins before I was shot, my son and I were in the 7-11. He picked up this $5 juice and naturally I was shocked at the price. A officer patrolling that area was in there and paid for the juice for him. Not because I couldn’t but because he wanted to buy it for my son.
30mins later I’m laying on my back covered in blood staring at the barrel waiting for the next shot. I look away and the first officer to respond is that SAME officer. After taking stock of the scene he remembers me and immediately ask where’s my son…"
Clanton joins Dr. Kaye to express his frustration with Baltimore’s crime problem and to speak on changes he believes need to be made in order to decrease the violence in the city.
