Vaccination Site Opens at The University of Maryland, Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MD (WEAA) —A COVID-19 vaccination clinic is now openat the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

 

The clinic is located inside of the Southern Management Corporation Campus Center.

 

The clinic’s hours of operation are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m, Wednesday through Saturday.

 

It is opento local residents along with eligible faculty, staff, and students from UMB.

 

On Thursday March 18, Governor Larry Hogan announcedMaryland will be entering Phase 2A of its vaccination distribution plan on Tuesday March 23, making the vaccine open toindividuals aged 60 and older. 

 

Phase 2B will begin on March 30, making the vaccine available to individuals aged 16 and older with underlying conditions that may increase the risk of contracting the coronavirus. 

 

By mid April, Governor Hogan is looking forward to being in Phase 3 of its vaccination distribution plan.

 

With the governor’s new protocol and vaccination schedule, Maryland continues its road to recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
