The State of Maryland is being warned about the cost of following through with a controversial immigration bill that would limit cooperation between local police and federal immigration officers. Yesterday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said the bill could cost Maryland millions of dollars in federal aid. Montgomery County democrat Kathleen Dumais disagrees, and told the Washington Post that Sessions should read the bill before criticizing it. And, Mayor Catherine Pugh thanked Governor Larry Hogan in a statement yesterday for the $23.7 million in supplemental funds that Hogan allocated to help address the structural deficit in the Baltimore City school system.
