Dwight R. B. Cook, director of production for a new play at Morgan State Theater, discusses "Williams & Walker," a historical play set in the early 1900s about Bert Williams and George Walker, the first black performers to write, produce, and star in a Broadway musical.
The play addresses the issue of performing in blackface, a common practice during that era.
A MSU senior and a theater graduate star in the two-character play.
The play opens on April 24. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster or at the box office.
