Daon Riley, a Severn, Maryland native and former Morgan State basketball player, joins Deana Neal to talk about his new book, The Good. A graduate of Old Mill High School and now a teacher in Anne Arundel County, Riley draws from his own college experiences to explore how bad company can corrupt good character.
The book follows three friends from different backgrounds whose bond through basketball is tested by the choices they make off the court. Riley reflects on how quickly life gets real as a college athlete, the blurred lines between campus life and the streets, and the importance of keeping the right people in your corner.
