Luther Trent, who plead guilty to burning his ex-girlfriend’s house down with her in it, has been released from jail after serving less than six months.

Initially, Trent was charged with 18 felonies, including attempted-murder charges. After receiving a plea agreement, Trent plead guilty to one arson charge.

He was given a 10-year suspended sentence, according to FOX45 News.

FOX also reported that the victim stated she received threatening text messages and even filed a request for a protective order that detailed a rape allegation against Trent.
